Purnima is a passionate communicator, with over 17 years of experience in organisations like Randstad, HSBC and JP Morgan Chase & Co.

She started her career in 2004 with Randstad India, in the recruitment consulting space and managed hiring across levels, for a variety of skillsets and industries with a client base consisting of both domestic and international organisations. After having spent close to 6 years in consulting, she moved to HSBC EDPI in 2010 as Manager HR, handling an end-to-end Talent acquisition portfolio for central Corporate functions, Global banking & markets and Analytics. After completing 3.5 years with HSBC, she joined JP Morgan Chase as an Associate Vice President, managing hiring for Middle office trade, Fx, Derivatives, PMO and Operations.

She later took up a HR Business Partner role, overseeing all employee-related activities for two Investment banking technology verticals with a headcount of 3500+ employees. In her overall career span in HR, Purnima was also actively involved in Communication and Branding for specific projects in talent attraction (for Diversity/ Persons with disabilities/ Campus) and engagement (programs for retention and talent mobility). She was also instrumental in designing newsletters to disseminate strategic priorities and create a sense of belonging.

After 2 years in the HR role, she moved into the Corporate Communications team and managed employee communications covering 35000+ people. Her deliverables consisted of Leadership communication, Creative employee campaigns, Content design and development, Intranet editorials, Branding for new product/site launches and CSR communication. In her last role as Vice President Communications with JP Morgan, she also handled pandemic related crisis communication and Return to the Office messaging.

Purnima comes with a unique blend of hands-on experience in Recruitment, HR Generalist and Corporate communications, giving her the ability to understand the audience and people segment closely, including what attracts talent, what retains them and how culture, values and ethos, when communicated correctly can elevate the organization’s positioning and establish a distinctive value.
